Carrara Sandbanks was introduced to this project through a recommendation to the London-based interior designer working with the owners. The ground-floor apartment occupies a waterfront position within North Shore, with views across Poole Harbour, and was intended to become a second home for the clients. The development was already familiar to Carrara, having completed three previous projects there. This commission involved reconfiguring several bathrooms, creating a dedicated utility space and commissioning bespoke fitted furniture to improve the apartment's practicality and comfort. The existing interior had a particularly colourful decorative scheme, which the owners wanted to replace with something more understated. Working alongside the interior designer, Carrara undertook the refurbishment as the rooms were given a softer, more cohesive palette. The completed apartment provides the comfortable, welcoming retreat the owners envisaged, with improved facilities and an interior better suited to their preferences.
