Renovating an entire property involves decisions that reach well beyond its finishes. Existing layouts, structural requirements, plumbing, electrics and the condition of the building all influence the scope of work.
Carrara Sandbanks coordinates the relevant trades and consultants, managing the work from the initial preparations through to joinery, flooring and decoration. Projects may involve substantial internal reconfiguration, the renewal of existing services or a comprehensive refurbishment of the property.
Extensions & Structural
Alterations
An extension needs to be planned around the existing building, including its structure, services and the way the new space will connect with the rooms already there.
Carrara Sandbanks manages construction work for extensions and internal alterations, working alongside architects, structural engineers and planning consultants where required. Projects may involve new foundations, changes to existing walls, roofing, drainage and the associated internal works. The construction is coordinated with the relevant specialist trades through to completion.
Kitchen Design & Installation
A kitchen renovation can involve changes to the layout, plumbing, electrical installations and lighting before the cabinetry is fitted. These elements need to be planned alongside the kitchen itself.
Carrara Sandbanks works with specialist kitchen designers and suppliers, coordinating the preparation of the room, any associated building work and the installation. Flooring, plastering, appliances and final finishes are incorporated into the programme according to the requirements of the project.
Bathroom Design & Installation
Bathroom installations depend on details that are largely concealed once the room is finished. Drainage, waterproofing, ventilation and electrical work must be planned alongside the position of the sanitaryware and fittings.
Carrara Sandbanks coordinates the relevant trades and works with specialist suppliers on fixtures, tiling and finishes. Whether replacing an existing bathroom or creating a new one as part of a larger renovation, we manage the preparation and installation work according to the agreed design.
Property
Refurbishment & Upgrades
Not every property requires a complete renovation. Carrara Sandbanks also undertakes more focused refurbishment work, including flooring, plastering, joinery, decoration and improvements to individual rooms.
Where work is carried out in stages, we coordinate the relevant trades and consider how each stage may affect the rest of the property. This allows selected areas to be updated while retaining the parts of the building that do not need attention.
Interior Design & Finishes
Interior decisions are best resolved alongside the building work. Lighting positions, fitted joinery, floor materials and finishes all affect how rooms are prepared and completed.
Carrara Sandbanks works with clients on these choices, coordinating specialist designers, makers and suppliers where required. Depending on the scope of the project, this may include furniture layouts, fitted cabinetry, lighting, window treatments and decorative finishes.
